Week 58: General Conference

Hallo alle!

Another good week has gone by! I especially enjoyed General Conference this weekend. It's always nice to hear from prophets and apostles, and I feel like I learned a lot. We made cinnamon rolls too, so that was also really cool.

We also got transfer calls this weekend. Sister Tripp will be leaving. I'll be staying and getting Sister Ligon. I don't really know Sister Ligon, but I've heard good things about her. I'm excited!

A member suggested it, so we did some door-knocking in Schwabmünchen on Friday. The weather was terrible. It was so windy and rainy, but we pressed on. Then we went to Bahnhof to catch our train, but it was delayed. So there we were—soaked and cold. We waited for an hour before our train came. We got home, changed clothes, and jumped straight into bed. Despite all of this, it was actually pretty fun to me haha!

Like I said, General Conference was really good! I especially liked Elder Carl B. Cook's talk. The story about him being asked to speak so many times by Elder Packer was really funny, but also illustrated a good point. When we are truly humble and turn to the Lord, He can give us power to do difficult things.

That's it for this week! I hope you all have a good week!

Liebe Grüße,

Sister Gladwell

1.  Homemade mac n' cheese in bed. This is the life

2. We accidentally made A LOT, so the dough ended up spilling off the counter when we rolled it out haha

3. The finished product. We could only eat like 10 of them, so we gave the rest to the elders in our district

4. Another chair pic with our district
