Week 57: The Mini MTC

Image
Servus alle! We had another week full of shenanigans! Actually, it was nothing too exciting. We spent a lot of time going through our phone contacts, and we've actually seen some decent success from that.  Yesterday was pretty interesting. Due to a strike, no public transportation was running. We ended up walking to our appointment, but it was freezing cold and snowing, so not the most pleasant experience. The missionaries in our zone held a Mini MTC for the youth in our stake. We ran a bunch of workshops, had them teach the first lesson to an "investigator", and did some street finding together. Sister Tripp and I did the workshop on roleplays, so we had the youth teach the first lesson to us. Ours was probably their least favorite one haha! Overall, however, they seemed to enjoy it, so I'd say it was a success! Anyway, that's the update! Ich wünsche euch eine schöne Woche! Bis später! Liebe Grüße, Sister Gladwell 1-2. Another bakery run after our Frühsport 3-4. ...

Week 56: Trust In The Lord And His Timing

Servus alle! First of all, I want to thank you all for your prayers. Our dear friend was able to completely stop drinking coffee. She was suffering from some pretty bad headaches as she stopped, but she was able to push through. I know it was because of all your prayers. Unfortunately, she was not baptized this week. On Thursday, she was talking with a classmate about her decision to be baptized. This classmate told her that our church was a cult, and that she should be really careful. This placed some doubts in her mind, and so she no longer feels quite ready to be baptized. I can imagine that it was a difficult decision for her, so if y'all could continue to pray for her, that would be wonderful! It was pretty disappointing to hear that news, but I know that I have every reason to trust in our Heavenly Father and His plan for us. Regardless of if she chooses to continue to meet with us, I know that everything will be okay, and everything will happen according to the Lord's ti...

Week 55: Neuschwanstein

Servus alle! It was another good week for us! We had a lot of solid appointments. We met with a new potential friend from Ukraine, a less-active member who wants to learn more about the scriptures, and our friend preparing for baptism!  Last Tuesday, we finally had the opportunity to visit Neuschwanstein! It's something Sister Tripp and I have been wanting to do for a while, so we took our chance when our zone suggested it for p-day. We had a great lesson with our friend who is on baptismal date for this Saturday. She has such an open heart and is so willing to change. When we explained the Word of Wisdom, she said that she knew she had to stop drinking coffee. It's been hard for her to quit, but she has the faith to try. If you could all pray for her, that would be very much appreciated! That's all from me! Ich wünsche euch eine schöne Woche! Liebe Grüße, Sister Gladwell 1. The hike up 2-3. At the top 4. We decided to get some breakfast at a cafe this week! It was so funny...

Week 54: Another Miracle!

Servus alle! It was another good week! Our friend accepted the baptismal invitation we extended to her, so we are now preparing for that on the 18th! We are so excited for her! We spent last p-day in Augsburg. We got some Hawaiian poke bowls for lunch, and then visited the Goldenen Saal in Augsburg Rathaus. It was a pretty chill day. One highlight from the week happened on Thursday. We were having an appointment with some of our friends at the church. All of a sudden, we hear a knock on the classroom door. I go to open up the door, and there's a lady standing behind it. She explained that she found our church on Google Maps, and it said it was open at this time. (It usually isn't. We just happened to be there for an appointment.) She asked if she could pray with us! We said, "of course!" and invited her to join the lesson with us. We were reading from the Book of Mormon, so after our friends left we talked a bit about that. She was super interested, and said that she ...
