Week 47: Hello Augsburg!

Hallo alle!

Transfer day actually went pretty smoothly all things considered. Of course, it was hard to say goodbye to everyone and my beloved Biel. Also, my suitcases were LOADED, but somehow Sister Ferrante and I were able to get everything onto our trains without problems.

I arrived in Munich, and I got to see Sister Nielsen!! Her comp had an appointment in Munich, so they waited in Bahnhof until we got there. Even though neither of us could stay very long, it was such a nice surprise to see her!

I also met up with Sister Tripp in Munich Bahnhof, and then we headed over to Augsburg together. When we got home, I devoured a giant salad, got unpacked, and headed out to English Cafe. (For English Cafe, we invite a bunch of people and give them the chance to practice English with us. It's a good way to meet new friends and to do a little bit of service.)

I got to meet some members of the ward on Sunday, and let me tell you—they're hilarious!! We pulled up to church with a couple old guys, and they just started telling jokes as soon as I met them. One old man asked me if I knew the two biggest women in America. I told him no, having no idea at what he was trying to get at. He then replies, "Miss Issippi & Miss Ouri". He started to lose it at this joke, and then I started to laugh because he found it so funny. I told some other members about this, and they just rolled their eyes. They explained that he's been telling this exact same joke for years now and hasn't gotten tired of it yet.

So yeah, the ward here seems hilarious. I'm really looking forward to getting to know them!

I hope that you all have a wonderful week! Bis bald!

Liebe Grüße,

Sister Gladwell
