Week 35: Das Matterhorn

Grüesech mitenand!!

Sister Nielsen and I have seen so many miracles this past week! I'm literally shocked all the time at how well things are going with our friends haha!

One of our friends has been progressing so quickly! He met the missionaries only a couple of weeks ago, but he is so eager to learn more about the gospel. We have taught him the first lesson, and he already told us that he believes it's true! We are going to teach him the second lesson today, so I'm excited to share the Plan of Salvation with him!

On another note haha, I finally got to see the Matterhorn last Tuesday!! We got up early and took a train down to Zermatt. Zermatt itself is so adorable! It's exactly what I picture when I think of a traditional Swiss town. After we walked around Zermatt a bit, we went on a hike in the area. It was so gorgeous with all the fall colors! I was just on cloud nine the entire time!

We also were able to go to church with a member that hasn't been in four years. She had some personal matters to resolve, so that was an obstacle for her. We were able to talk to her and help her get things sorted out. It was so touching to see how excited she was to take the sacrament again! The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings so much joy and such powerful healing into our lives. I am so thankful for this member; she is such a good example of the courage and peace that we can draw from the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

It was such a wonderful week! I love it in Biel, and I'm so thankful to be able to work with the people here! I hope that this upcoming week is wonderful for you too!

Liebe Grüße,

Sister Gladwell

1. Fondue with the Jägers! They eat it with bananas, which actually wasn't too bad haha!
2. We went to an Ausstellung in Basel, and as we were walking down the street, we saw three subsequent Mickeys. These were the sketchiest costumes I've ever seen! One of the Mickeys was wearing the head, but the entire bottom half of his face was poking out the bottom. Another one stopped us, and asked us about the book we were holding lol. We gave him a card, so he could order a Book of Mormon in his language. I can now say that we gave Mickey Mouse a Book of Mormon!
