Week 27: Sight and Sound
Hallo zusammen!
Another crazy week of dritt life has passed. It has been so chaotic but so so fun haha. It's a little bittersweet that Sister Terrell will be leaving us tomorrow. Speaking of bittersweet, we got transfer calls on Saturday. Sister Smith and I will be staying together for another transfer, but we no longer will be covering for Schaffhausen. It's nice to be able to focus more on the people in Singen, but it's also sad to say goodbye to all the people in Schaffhausen. All I'm saying is, the elders that are coming to Schaffhausen better take good care of them haha!!
We went to the temple for p-day. We were able to do a session of endowments and then some baptisms. It was so wonderful! I feel so peaceful and safe in the temple, so it was great to be able to rest and recharge a little bit.
Well, poor Sister Terrell has been through it this week, so she's probably excited to leave us haha! For example: we were heading to an appointment in Schaffhausen, and we decided to get there a little early. We head to the platform and I see that we are supposed to be in Sector B, so that's where we go. The train arrived, we got on, sat down, and I looked up. The sign did not say Schaffhausen anywhere on it, so then it hit me: the train cars split up and we were just at the edge of Sector B. We were just one car over from the train that takes us to Schaffhausen! I told Sister Terrell and Sister Smith that we needed to get off and book it to the next car over. We had all our luggage with us too, so we just grabbed it and went. Sister Smith and I got off the train with no problems, started running to the next car, and then I looked behind me. Sister Terrell was gone. I ran back to confirm my fears, and there she is, standing inside the train. She gestures that the door won't open, and waves goodbye to us through the window. Then, the train just took off. I felt so bad!! I FaceTimed her immediately, so we could be within sight and sound of each other haha. Sister Terrell was just laughing about it the entire time! She knew where the train was going, so luckily she was able to go back and meet us at Zürich Hauptbahnhof.
It's been an exciting week haha! Bis nächste Woche!
Große Liebe,
Sister Gladwell
